Depressive Disorders

• Major Depressive Disorder: Persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest.

• Persistent Depressive Disorder (Dysthymia): Chronic depression lasting for at least two years.

• Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder: Mood swings, irritability, and depression occurring before menstruation.​

Neurodevelopmental Disorders

• Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): A persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity.

• Motor Disorders: Includes developmental coordination disorder, stereotypic movement disorder, and tic disorders.​

Anxiety Disorders

​

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Excessive anxiety and worry occurring more days than not for at least six months.

• Panic Disorder: Recurrent unexpected panic attacks.

• Phobias: Marked fear or anxiety about a specific object or situation.

• Social Anxiety Disorder: Significant anxiety in social situations.

Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders

• Schizophrenia: A chronic brain disorder with symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, and cognitive impairments.

• Schizoaffective Disorder: A combination of schizophrenia symptoms and mood disorder symptoms.

• Delusional Disorder: Presence of one or more delusions for at least one month.

• Brief Psychotic Disorder: Sudden onset of psychotic symptoms lasting less than one month.​

Bipolar and Related Disorders

• Bipolar I Disorder: At least one manic episode, possibly followed by hypomanic or depressive episodes.

• Bipolar II Disorder: A pattern of depressive episodes and hypomanic episodes, without full-blown manic episodes.

• Cyclothymic Disorder: Periods of hypomanic symptoms and periods of depressive symptoms lasting for at least two years.​

Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders

• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): Recurrent, unwanted thoughts and repetitive behaviors.

• Body Dysmorphic Disorder: Preoccupation with perceived defects or flaws in physical appearance.

• Hoarding Disorder: Persistent difficulty discarding possessions.

• Trichotillomania: Recurrent pulling out of one's hair

Trauma- and Stressor-Related Disorders

• Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence.

• Acute Stress Disorder: Similar to PTSD but the duration is shorter.

• Adjustment Disorders: Emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to an identifiable stressor.
